Tracy & Philip's Custom Save the Date

I've been trying to catch up the blog recently with a lot of work from the last few months that I haven't had a chance to post.

This is a save the date I did a couple months back for Tracy and Philip. I absolutely adore the soft whimsical aspect that was inspired by a One Day movie poster Tracy had seen on Pinterest and absolutely loved.

Hot Pink & Orange Baby Shower Invite

Its been a while since I have posted - (I have about 8 projects to blog about - just need to find some spare time) But I couldn't resist a quick share of my latest invite. A fun hot pink and orange baby shower invite for a girl who doesn't do the girly "baby pink" thing. I have also posted a board I found on Pinterest which was the inspiration to the theme, along with Lisa's great love of stripes.

Very happy with how it all tuned out... and I cant wait to help make those tissue Pom Poms!!

An easy Tutorial on how to make them from the Martha Stewart website

As cute favours we are going to give away little hot pink and orange Nail Polishe bottles, and we have also ordered these gorgeous paper straws to go in all the drinks.

I'll add photos after the day:)

Friday Freebie - Envelope Wrap

Everyone loves getting snail mail! It makes us feel special, and what is better than not only getting a pretty envelope in the post, but a pretty envelope with a gorgeous label. Its like having a pretty ribbon on a present! (that and it helps you from wasting a lot of envelopes)

today's freebie I thought I would do you a DIY envelope Label. They need to be printed on label paper and then stuck onto the envelope. You can type or handwrite the addresses - up to you.

They come in 5 gorgeous colours - Navy, Grape, Red, Baby Blush, Seafoam and Caramel

I took some pics with the last Calendar Save the Date Freebies, so you can see how fabulous they look!

Happy posting!

Vera Wang Inspired Custom Invite

Gemma & Matt got married recently in Souel in France at the gorgeous French Chateau de Mauriac . Gemma wanted a simple yet elegant wedding invite, that wouldn't compete with her venu, and also something that reflected her style & personality.

The solution was a Vera Wang inspired wedding invite, printed on a thick cotton card, and double mounted on a backing card. We used the "mushroom blue" colour from her bridesmaid dresses and finished it off with a gorgeous silver foil.

Friday Freebie - Calender Save the Date

So today is not Friday - yes I know sadly I really wish it was the start of the weekend again. Last week monday my beloved Macbook Pro got the spinning wheel of death and after much pleading and begging with it - I was forced to take it in to get the harddrive replaced.A week of feeling like I have lost a limb and I have FINALLY got it back - so I have a good excuse - but to make it up to you, I have designed a super handy super cute Save the Date.

Later this week I will be taking photos of it and adding it to the post, but in the meantime I just had to share... I am up to my eyeballs at the moment catching up from the last week, so this is a very quick post today.

As usual this can be printed at home or a local printer and you can find envelopes from Prints in Mercato or Mirdif Mall or PaperChase. You can also order online from Ideal Envelopes in the UK, but their postage is steep, so I would only recommend this if you are sending from there. You Can Download the PNG Files HERE if you are adding the image in on your computer.

As always feel free to send suggestions my way.

Have a great week!!

Friday Freebie - Bridal Shower Invite

Hi lovely ladies
Today's friday Freebie is coming in a day early (lucky you) since I'm off later to the fabulous Radisson Blu in Fujairah for the weekend... yay!!

So since the last weeks card got such positive feeback, I thought I would increase the freebie to beyond weddings. More on this to come next week, but for this week I have designed a whimsical and cute bridal shower invite.

The PDF is completely editable in Acrobat Reader - just click where the text is and fill in your own details. There are 2 pages one with the text on it already and one blank - both however are actually editable.

Have fun, and dont forget to share with all your friends, especially if you want them planning your amazing shower for you!!

Friday Freebie - Thank You Card

Sorry for the late post - but since 10pm on Friday still counts  - I'll make a valant excuse that there was lunch with a gorgeous man involved and I couldnt exactly say no now, could I:)

So today's Free printable (albeit a tad late) I decided to make thank you cards that can not only be used as wedding thank you's but as birthday, wedding shower, baby shower etc. thank you cards. They come in 5 cute as a button colours, Aqua, lilac, Blush, Oyster Grey and Sage.

I have left them blank inside for you to personalise with your own message.. simply pick the colour of your choice, print it out on some nice thick 250 gram card stock, trim and fold. Alternatively you can drop off the file with one of the many digital printers in Dubai, who very often have a wide collection of card stock.

So Here is a quickie as to what they look like
As always I welcome any feedback and requests for Friday freebies

Australian Destination Wedding Passport - Michelle & Chris

Last week I sent to print another Destination wedding passport. I adore the black cover - even though initially I wasn't sure, I absoluetly loved how it turned out. I also had so much fun working on the front crest for this. Crests are a fast growing trend in wedding invites and think its turned out really well.

Michelle and Chris are having a small intimate wedding in Montville, Australia and will have guests coming from Dubai, London and other parts  of Australia for the big day.

Friday Freebie - Wedding Door hanger

I have decided to do something a little different from other creative blogs in Dubai and introduce a Friday Freebie section.

This weeks PDF is a Door Hanger available in 4 colours and perfect for giving to guests who are staying in hotels.
The PDF's are editable which means the Bride and Groom can type in their names into the PDF to personalise it prior to printing.

Each week I will be posting up a printable PDF for brides, mothers, friends etc. Some are going to be editable PDF's, others generic items but all of them are for you to use for your own personal use, as much as you want. All you need is a colour printer, some paper card a cutting knife or pair of scissors.

Alternatively there are plenty of fantastic digital print shops around Dubai that will print, trim and fold for you on a variety of cardstocks.

French Chateau Design From The Wedding Collection

This past week I have been asked for the same design from The Wedding Collection  by 2 different brides. The Wedding Collection is a ready to buy range that offers brides a creative and cost effective way to have lovely invites.

What I loved the most about these 2 designs is that you can see the brides tastes reflected through the way they customised them.

Yana & Frank chose the invite with a subtle vintage wallpaper behind it, and went with it in landscape format. They chose a subtle Lilac for the pattern and then embossed it for added effect. I also designed them a guest book which was also embossed to match their stationary.

Angelina and Laurent also loved the design and also chose purple, but went with a grape foil on the pattern instead. Their Invite was a portrait format, and they went for the design without the vintage wallpaper. They had 2 sets of invites printed - An english version, and a french version.

I was amazed at the fact that, while they were both the same design, how uniquely different they both came out.

Items in The Wedding Collection can be customised by changing not only colours and fonts, but also by adding unique touches such as foils, embossing and even monograms.

Mbali & Ainsley Ivory & Gold Wedding Invites

I finally have some time on my hands and I have been photographing some invites from the past couple weeks all morning. I thought I would start with something a little bling to brighten up my day!

Mbali is a fellow South African, and she wanted invites that both reflected them as well as the elegance of their wedding. The first step was tying in Invite look and feel with the wedding colour scheme, which was Ivory and gold.

I then designed them a custom monogram which they wanted as the focal point of the invite. Each invite was printed with a map and info card and help tegether with a personalized belly band that held the name of the invited guest.

Invites were then posted out in a gold envelope and addressed were written out by the bride on an envelope label. Overall a stunningly elegant invite for a lavish affair!
